| Good participatory processes require a rigorous process including a genuine desire to learn. |
In a good process there is time to make use of learning to improve the work as it goes along. Learning may be between local people or between local people and professionals. In a community appraisal (see Community Involvement) the most important learning in often what professionals learn from local people.
